Vierkantrohr – Werkstoffe und Ausführungen
Vierkantrohre bzw. Hohlprofile oder auch Quadratrohr bzw. Rechteckrohr wird für die vielfältigsten Konstruktionen eingesetzt. Die Geometrie der Rohrkonstruktion ist sehr stabil und verwindungssteif.
Meist werden Vierkant-Rohrprodukte aus Stahl, Edelstahl und Aluminium gefertigt. Die Herstellung und Güte von Qualitäts-Vierkantrohr wird in den Normen DIN 2395, EN 10305 und EN 10219 behandelt.
Standardausführungen sind erhältlich bis zu 100 mm Kantenlänge und 2 oder 3 mm Materialstärke, also z.B. 60 x 60 x 3 mm oder 20 x 40 x 2 mm, wobei die ersten beiden Millimeterangaben die Kantenlängen des Quadrates bzw. Rechtecks angeben, die dritte Zahl die Wandstärke.
Aufgrund von Transportbeschränkungen im Paketversand werden meist nur Längen bis 2000 mm zur schnellen Lieferung angeboten. Längen bis 6 Meter werden dann per Spedition versandt.
